Prost!
Prost!
The heart of the Rushmore German Club is sharing an appreciation for German heritage and culture, but we’re all members for different reasons.
The club is made up of diverse individuals throughout the Black Hills of South Dakota. Some members are German-born, second or third-generation German-Americans, others became part of the Club due to their time spent in Germany during military service, and many who are here just for the heck of it!
No matter why you're interested, we can't wait for you to join the fun!
Besides the German Tent, What Do We Do?
Though our reputation is closely tied to the German Tent, the Rushmore German Club is an active community organization throughout the entire year!
Culture
We share a common affinity for traditional German culture. You can't beat lederhosen & dirndls, flowing beer, and a good schnitzel! We also occasionally participate in cultural exchange programs and events.
Charity
The only thing we love more than beer is giving back to the local community! Impacts from Sommerfest extend throughout the Black Hills as the proceeds generously contribute to many local charitable organizations.
Community
We enjoy regular social picnics together, an annual Christmas party, enjoying beer and wine at various events, and an annual bus trip to other German festivals in the Midwest. We like to have a little (okay, a lot of) fun!
Join the German Club
Whether you're here for the culture, the food, the social life, or the beer -- we can't wait to have you!
